The Qubit Control Module (QCM) is engineered for high-performance arbitrary waveform generation at 1 GS/s, combining pulse parametrization and numerical modulation up to 400 MHz in the baseband regime. Driven by on-board sequence processors, the module enables direct digital synthesis of complex pulse sequences, delivering deterministic timing, low latency, high signal quality, fast reconfiguration, and scalability far beyond conventional AWGs.
Real-time pulse creation is enabled by the combination of an on-board waveform engine and a real-time sequence processor. Together, they support up to 16k samples of waveform memory and flexible pulse parametrization, including amplitude, offset, modulation frequency, and phase. Operating on a 1 ns time grid, both waveform memory and sequencing capabilities allow pulse parameters to be updated with nanosecond resolution. These features support advanced use cases such as endless waveform playback, fast parameter sweeps, and dynamic pulse sequencing. Additionally, the module’s low output offset and gain drift of only a few ppm/K minimize the need for frequent recalibration, making the QCM a highly stable and versatile baseband signal generator for pushing gate fidelities to the next level.
