The Qubit Control Module (QCM) is engineered for high-performance arbitrary waveform generation at 1 GS/s, combining pulse parametrization and numerical modulation up to 400 MHz in the baseband regime. Driven by on-board sequence processors, the module enables direct digital synthesis of complex pulse sequences, delivering deterministic timing, low latency, high signal quality, fast reconfiguration, and scalability far beyond conventional AWGs.

Operating from DC to 400 MHz range via DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis), delivering broad experimental compatibility and signal generation across for diverse quantum systems.
All-to-all channel mapping supports both frequency and time multiplexing, enabling advanced and scalable quantum control configurations.
Ultra-low 1/f noise performance enables high-fidelity two-qubit gate execution, improving coherence and overall experimental accuracy.
Real-time waveform parametrization of amplitude and gain, combined with dynamic phase and frequency modulation, enables flexible and precise signal shaping.
Integrated numerical filters, such as IIR, FIR, and exponential filters, correct signal distortions before reaching the QPU, ensuring waveform integrity.
Q1ASM assembler integration provides deterministic and absolute control on a 1ns timegrid for signal generation, supporting seamless gapless waveform playback.
Built-in IQ mode supports four independent channels or two IQ channel pairs, enabling enabling efficient external signal upconversion.

Using the QCM in the Qblox Cluster

Scalable QCM Cluster Integration

The Qubit Control Module (QCM) operates within the Qblox Cluster mainframe, offering seamless integration and scalability. A single 19” rack Cluster unit can accommodate up to 20 QCM modules, providing density for up to 80 baseband channels.

Seamless Cross-Module Integration

Qblox’s modular architecture allows interoperability between the QCM and other modules, including the Qubit Control RF Module (QRC-RF II), Qubit Readout Modules (QRM and QRM‑RF), Qubit Readout and Control (QRC), and the Qubit Timetag Module (QTM).

SYNQ & LINQ

Using the proprietary SYNQ and LINQ interconnect protocols, all modules communicate and run synchronously. This architecture ensures precise alignment of control, readout, and processing, allowing users to configure a control stack that matches their quantum system and supports high‑fidelity operation.
