At Qblox, we believe in the power of time-synchronized connections, and our annual summer BBQ has become a cherished tradition that brings together colleagues and their families (and even a furry friend). This year’s event was our biggest and most memorable yet, filled with fun activities, delicious food, and the warmth of our diverse community.
A day of Qblox fun and games
Despite the unpredictable weather, our BBQ went ahead, rain or… rain! This year's festivities included an array of exciting activities. Kids and the young-at-heart enjoyed the bouncy castle, while the table tennis competition turned into a fierce battle reminiscent of the Olympics. Badminton games added to the competitive spirit, as rain came down outside, we settled down inside our Delft HQ to watch the Euros, drinks in hand.
The fun didn't stop there. Our afterparty had a uniquely Dutch twist: cycling around the beautiful city of Delft. It was a wonderful way to wind down the evening, enjoying the city's charm and each other's company.
Culinary delights and refreshing cocktails
No summer BBQ is complete without great food and drinks, and this year we took it to the next level. We were joined by a mobile cocktail stand, known as 'De Cocktailfiets'. It was a huge hit, serving up delicious mocktails and fancy drinks that kept everyone refreshed. The food was spectacular, thanks to the exceptional Smokey Goodness BBQ team, who provided a mouth-watering selection of smoked meats, as well as vegetarian and vegan options to cater to all tastes.
Capturing memories with caricatures
A special surprise for the day was the presence of a talented caricaturist. Each Qblox team member got a unique portrait, creating lasting memories and plenty of laughter. It was a fantastic addition to the event, highlighting the fun and friendly atmosphere that defines our company culture.
Building a stronger community
Our annual BBQ is just one of the many social activities we host to foster a cohesive and vibrant company culture. This year, we’ve also enjoyed Easter drinks and a lively King's Day party. Looking ahead, we have exciting events planned, including a culinary event where we’ll explore different cuisines, cinema nights, and, of course, our daily intensive table tennis training sessions.
